In the newest report, the telecommunication operator SFR and the agency GroupM mentioned that, in France, three cellular phones out of four are multimedia phones. By saying ”multimedia”, the internet observatory of SFR refers to mobile phones that allow access to internet. These then, present 76% of the current French market. They also report that one third of the population that is aged between 16 and 24 years old get online dailyfrom through their mobile phones.
The observatory conducted the survey between January the 20th and the 25th and had a sample of one thousand people. Contrary to the last year (with 45%), one of two interviewed persons (50%) has a mobile phone which is registered to offers allowing access to internet. Moreover, three phones over four are part of the “multimedia” category, 38% of which are smartphones while the other 38% are classic phones that allow internet access.
Furthermore, the number of mobile internet users is rising as well. According to this research, more than one mobile internet user over three goes online minimum once a week.
Besides, both the observatory and the agency have reported that surfing on internet is mostly done in the transports (subway, bus, and car) representing 61 % while the working comes in the second rank with 59%.

In my case…. I usually use smartphone when I am moving to another site….so in public transport.
Even though when I meet friends… we sometimes use our smartphones and don’t even speak!!
